Corrosion Control Services Limited (CCSL) General Manager Chris Spence has been appointed chairman of the Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA).
Chris has served as vice chairman since 2017 and has now taken over the role as chairman from Jim Preston.
Following his appointment, Chris said: “I am honoured to have been undertaking the role of vice chairman for the previous two years and in undertaking the role of chairman, will strive to continue the excellent work that is undertaken for the corrosion industry in the UK and to represent the best interests of our 39 member companies.”
The Corrosion Prevention Association represents consultants, contractors and engineers working in the field of corrosion prevention for reinforced concrete and masonry encased steel. The CPA acts as the leading authority and source of information on the subject of Cathodic Protection and other corrosion techniques.
The Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA), together with the Concrete Repair Association (CRA) and Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA) form the Structural Concrete Alliance, which provides a single co-ordinated voice for the structural concrete refurbishment and repair industry.
