Established in 1997. based in Telford, Shropshire, Corrosion Control Services Limited (CCSL) are leading specialists in the design, installation, supervision, commissioning and monitoring of cathodic protection.

CCSL also provide concrete testing and inspection services from our laboratory facilities in Waterloo Road Telford , with our accreditation by UKAS to undertake testing and inspection works to concrete structures in accordance with ISO 17025:2017 – general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories CCSL are able to determine the condition of the structure and provide suitable cost effective repair solutions.

CCSL engineers are certified to EN ISO 15257 and experienced in the design, supply and installation of impressed current cathodic protection systems, galvanic anode systems and hybrid anode systems.

In addition, they provide on-site supervision, documentation and advice on installation requirements for cathodic protection systems.

Christopher Spence

Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA) & Structural Concrete Aliiance Steering Committee Chairman

Chris Spence has worked in the field of reinforced concrete survey, structural repair and cathodic protection of structures since 1992.

With extensive experience in reinforced concrete works including site investigation and reporting surveys, Chris can undertake or specify requirements for diagnostic testing and the corrosion risk assessment of reinforced concrete structures as well as making recommendations for appropriate repair and protection solutions. He carries out the specification of concrete repair systems, cathodic protection systems and corrosion monitoring systems for reinforced concrete.

Chris has been responsible for updating guidance documentation for such works, most recently BA83/02 Guidance note for impressed current cathodic protection and is joint author of CPA technical notes 17 and 27.

Chris is currently chairman of the Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA) and Chair of the Structural Concrete Alliance Steering committee group.

Tom Jones

Contracts Manager / Deputy Laboratory Manager

Tom Jones has worked in the field of reinforced concrete survey, structural repair and cathodic protection of structures since 1998.

Tom has over 21 years’ experience in major projects and specialises in cathodic protection, concrete repair and structural surveys and is currently Contracts/Deputy Laboratory Manager.

Craig Dinsley

Inspections Manager

Craig Dinsley has worked in the field of reinforced concrete survey, structural repair and cathodic protection of structures since 2002.

Craig has over 16 years’ experience in major projects and specialises in cathodic protection, concrete repair and structural surveys and is currently Inspections Manager of CCSL.

Senior Technician

Louis has worked in the fields of reinforced concrete survey, structural repair and cathodic protection of structures since 2011.

Louis has experience in major projects and specialises in cathodic protection, concrete repair and structural surveys and is currently Senior Technician of CCSL.
